After graduating from the University of Alberta, Ramneek Sidhu co-founded LeadSift, a lead intelligence software company, with three friends. The idea for the business came to them as they wanted to have an easier way to find people interested in their company’s products and services. So they developed a technology that would scrape through social media platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter and uncover hidden insights about potential customers. As a result, this year, they were ranked third on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 list of companies with the fastest-growing revenues over five years.
This week, when he found out that one of his cofounder’s fathers had passed away while at work in India, he immediately flew over to be with her during this difficult time.

Born to Indian parents in England, Ramneek’s family moved to the United States when he was only two years old. He grew up in the suburbs of Detroit. Where he attended public school and played soccer before studying at the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
After college graduation in 2006, he landed his first professional job as a software engineer with Microsoft.
