Providence Place Mall – Your One-Stop Shopping Destination

Providence Place Mall in Providence, Rhode Island, is the place to go when you want to shop, eat, and have fun! Our state-of-the-art facility offers many different stores, including big-name stores such as Nike, Victoria’s Secret, and Macy’s, as well as popular restaurants like Cheesecake Factory and P.F. Chang’s China Bistro! You can even get your nails done or stop by the nail salon after shopping or eating! There’s so much to see and do here that it’ll be hard to leave!

History of Providence Place Mall

Providence Place Mall was opened in 1999, which makes it a 23-year-old shopping center. The anchor stores for Providence Place include Macy’s, JCPenney, Nordstrom, and Sears. There are also over 150 smaller shops and dining establishments around Providence Place. This mall is located on Douglas Avenue in North Little Rock, Arkansas. It has a parking lot that can accommodate up to 5800 cars. Overall, shoppers enjoy making purchases at places like Journey’s Kidz and Victoria’s Secret Beauty Lounge because they give them a high level of customer service while they make their purchases here. There is also a Brookstone location where shoppers can purchase electronics or other small items that might be important to have with them on their vacation or at home every day.

5 Free things to do

If you’re visiting Providence for a day or two, it can be hard to justify a $50 entrance fee or an expensive meal at a fancy restaurant. That’s why we put together a list of five things to do and see—for free! If you can, take some time to explore beyond downtown Providence. We also love Smithfield and Providence Place mall (the latter of which is home to our headquarters). Here are five things to keep in mind while planning your trip:

1. The Museum of Art: Free admission Tuesdays from 5 p.m.-8 p.m.; free for children under 12 every Sunday from 10 a.m.-noon; free on Sundays from noon-5 p.m., May 19 through June 23; Rhode Island residents receive 50 percent off admission year-round with proof of residency.

2. WaterFire: This public art installation has been lighting up rivers around Providence since 1994 and is free to attend after dark during its summer season.

3. Trinity Rep: Enjoy live theater without spending a dime thanks to Trinity Repertory Company’s Pay What You Can performances on Thursday nights throughout July and August.

4. Food Truck Fridays: Grab lunch or dinner at one of these weekly food truck events held in Roger Williams Park, where you can also enjoy live music by local artists.

5. Touring Brown University: A walk around campus will give you an idea of what life as a student might be like here – but don’t worry if there’s no one around – tours are self-guided!

Five shopping tips

Providence Place Mall is unique as it’s not only one of the largest malls in Rhode Island. While it’s home to your typical department stores and chain retailers, it also has many local and regional businesses within its walls. You can find these local companies by walking around different areas of Providence Place and identifying which stores are independently owned. Often, you’ll be able to find an independent store by looking for an owner behind or near their store who may have some merchandise on display with their business name on it.
