In this article, we discuss the List of states in USA.  The United States of America comprises 50 states, 8 in the Pacific and 42 in the Eastern Time Zone.

The U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, and Puerto Rico also use the U.S.’s time zones, even though they are not officially states of the Union. Each state has its capital city and nickname, making it easy to identify its location on a map or globe without confusion or error! Here’s a complete list of all eight states that make up the USA Today.

1. Alabama

The great state of Alabama is one that a lot of people forget about. They are not just unaware but also want to forget. What did they do? The Rebels. As in the Confederate flag rebels. The sad truth is that there are a lot more people living in Alabama than those who live by these ideologies, and this state has done little to help change its image for those who can’t overlook such hatred. Compared to other states, it does not have as many well-known features as its rival, Tennessee’s culture and food. However, it does have some wonderful things, including its scenic beaches and numerous schools within the Tuscaloosa area that often produces top-notch football players every year – you know what I’m talking about, Johnny Manziel!

2. Alaska

You can’t forget Alaska. It is a state in the U.S., after all. With seven unique time zones, it’s the largest and northernmost among U.S. states. Also known as the Last Frontier, Alaska shares its borders with Canada and only four other U.S. states – just not including any of those small ones to take up as much space as possible! So here are some fun facts about this adventurous state you’ll be able to explore before your next vacation.

3. Arizona

Arizona is a shape in the southwestern part of the United States. It’s home to an interesting mix of desert scenery, green cacti-filled valleys, pine forests, and snow-capped mountains. Its many iconic rock formations, such as Camelback Mountain, Sedona, and Jerome, are well known. Phoenix is Arizona’s capital city and boasts some of the most famous professional sports teams, including The Arizona Cardinals and The Arizona Diamondbacks. The Grand Canyon State is also home to 25 Native American tribes and two major university systems. Tucson, with its rich cultural heritage that features Mexican traditions along with Sonoran Desert culture, is one place not to miss during your visit to this varied state.

4. Arkansas

Arkansas is a southeastern state in the United States, just north of Mississippi. The capital and most populous city are Little Rock. Residents are referred to as Arkansans. There are 25,719 square miles in Arkansas, which makes it the sixth-largest state by area. The state was officially adopted on June 15, 1836, and was originally named Arkansas Territory. A large portion of northeast Arkansas shares borders with Missouri and Tennessee near the Mississippi River, which bends near Helena.

5. California

California is also a shape found on the West Coast. It has major centers of population in Los Angeles and San Francisco. It’s also home to Silicon Valley, which is known for being a breeding ground for new technology companies like Facebook, Twitter, Intel, and Google. Famous landmarks include Hollywood and its Walk of Fame, Yosemite National Park, and many beautiful beaches. 

California produces agricultural products such as oranges, lettuce, garlic, carrots, and tomatoes.

6. Florida

Florida is also a circumstance in the southeastern United States. It’s considered part of the sunshine belt and has a long coastline on the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. Florida has palm trees, pine trees, sandy beaches, swamps, sub-tropical forests, some coral reefs, and diverse wildlife habitats with numerous species.

Alabama borders Florida on the west, Georgia on the northwest, Tennessee and North Carolina (Carolina) on the east, and Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina (Carolina) to the south.

7. Georgia

Georgia is also a form in the southern region of the United States. It was established in 1732 and became a country in 1850 after it seceded from the Union. Georgia ranks 13th among U.S. states by population, with 10,211,746 people (July 1, 2018). Its capital and largest city are Atlanta.

8. New York

New York is also one of the numerous famous states in America. It’s called The Empire State because it was one of America’s first 13 colonies. The Statue of Liberty, New York City, Niagara Falls, and Albany are just a few popular attractions in New York. There are three common habitats in New York. Forest is usually found close to waterways such as lakes or rivers because trees provide shade from the hot sun and serve as windbreakers to keep cool breezes from blowing away animals’ homes with their leaves. Marshlands cover wetlands throughout many parts of New York, especially near Lake Erie, where there is plenty for fishing enthusiasts to catch.
