We define diabetes as raised with blood sugar. It is a long-lasting health condition that acts on how your body turns food into energy. Types of Diabetes
There are three main types of diabetes. These types are type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes.
- Type 1
Type 1 diabetes is an auto-immune condition. It means that your immune system wrongly attacks and breaks up the beta cells in your pancreas that make insulin. Moreover, it damages permanently. So, the causes of the attacks are not clear. There may be both inherent and environmental causes.
- Type 2
This type of diabetes starts with insulin resistance. It means that your body cannot use insulin expertly. As a result, it causes your pancreas to make more insulin. In addition, it cannot maintain with the request. Then production of insulin is decreased. That is causing high blood sugar.
The exact cause of type 2 diabetes is untold. But its contributing factors are:
- Genetic
- A more sedentary way of living
- Higher weight or fatness
- Gestational Diabetes
The cause of Gestational Diabetes is the blocking of insulin hormones. Moreover, During pregnancy, these are manufactured. Gestational diabetes only occurs during pregnancy. It is frequently seen in preexisting prediabetes people and history of a family of diabetes. Fifty percent of people who identify with gestational diabetes go on to grow type 2 diabetes.
