Anything but a backpack day
Think back to your high school and college days, when you would have to carry around your entire world in a backpack so heavy it felt like you had an anvil hanging off of one shoulder. As wonderful as those days were (in theory), wouldn’t it have been nice to have something different? Something new? Luckily, there are all sorts of new, exciting bags and backpacks on the market, including travel backpack alternatives that can help you lighten your load while ensuring you have everything you need.
What Is Anything But A Backpack Day?
Since the beginning of time, people have been on the go. And when you’re on the go, many things must be carried. Because we spend so much time carrying things around all day, we must have some strategies for staying organized and making life easier. One strategy is what I call anything but a backpack day. I try to avoid using my backpack as my primary bag. Instead, to get rid of the pack weight from my shoulders, I rely on other means of transporting items from place to place.
For example, if someone hands me something at work or school that needs to be taken back home with me, instead of putting it in my pack (and thereby causing myself discomfort), I will put it into my purse or lunchbox. Another idea is to use a small shoulder bag or briefcase if your items are too bulky for your purse or lunchbox – even grocery bags can come in handy! The idea behind anything but a backpack day is simply this: sometimes we need an alternative carry-all because our backs can’t take anymore!
