Today I will talk about my first attempt at a visual novel game script. For those who don’t know, a visual novel game script combines an immersive story with gameplay (often in the form of decision-making). After playing The Walking Dead by Telltale Games last year, I was inspired by their development team and thought to give this sort of thing a try myself!

First, you’ll need to ensure that the script is saved as a .rbx file and not a .txt file. To do so, click the save button and make sure it says Save As, not just Save.
